Red Sires

When choosing our sires we are looking for bone, growth for age, structural soundness, true red colour kind temperament with a sire's out look, but most importantly the bull has to complement our breeders. To find the right bull has often been a huge challenge.

The 2011 annual NCC bull sale saw the purchase of two bulls in conjunction with Rockley Brahmans NCC Diplomat purchased for $40,000 and NCC Sabre purchased for $15,000. We are extremely excited with the prospect of these two bulls joining our sire battery. NCC Diplomat was one of the first red sons of US national champion JDH MR ELMO MANSO (IMP US) (H) to be offered and out of NCC’s Donor NCC DIENKA 238 (IMP ET) (AI) (ET) (H). This genetic strength coupled with the outstanding carcass attributes he carries we are confident that diplomat will take our red herd to a new level.

NCC Sabre demands your attention, he carries himself around the paddock very well and posses an outstanding topline, tremendous bone and thickness while maintaining a good square head and muzzle. By the well know sire TOPLINE SIR GENERAL RED MANSO 1072 (ET) (H) out of another of NCC’s Donors NCC SELINDA 222 (IMP ET) (AI) (ET) (H). We feel that Sabre is the final piece of the puzzle for our herd of springbok daughters and can’t wait to see how this cross goes.
